Keynoters, Perfect Pitch contestants and a trash panda walk into Arlington; here's your Fast Casual Executive Summit October 4–6 game plan.

Mark your calendars, fast casual friends: October 4-6, 2026, we're taking over Arlington, Texas, for three days of big ideas, bigger networking, and (drumroll, please) our newest, furriest team member.
Here's why you need to be in the room.

Yes, you read that right. This year, the summit is welcoming a mascot of our own — a scrappy, snack-loving raccoon we've been lovingly calling the "Fast Casual Trash Panda." But he (she? they?) doesn't have an official name yet, and that's where you come in. You'll be voting for the name on over the next few weeks, and the big reveal will be live at the summit, where you can meet "it" in person, snap a photo and learn the name that won the most votes.
And you won't just meet face to face — every attendee gets their very own plush Fast Casual Trash Panda, thanks to C3, so you'll have a new desk buddy long after the summit wraps.
Nothing says "fast casual community" quite like naming a raccoon together.
1. Learn from leaders who've actually built the brands you admire
This year's speaker lineup reads like a who's-who of fast casual success stories. Velvet Taco CEO Chris Schultz opens the summit with a keynote on building a cult brand without losing the magic, drawing on decades scaling names like Starbucks, MOD Pizza, and Voodoo Doughnut. Later, catch a live taping of the Fast Casual Nation podcast featuring Shake Shack's Chief Information and Technology Officer, Justin Mennen, on how the brand is rethinking tech through Project Catalyst. Add in fireside chats, state-of-the-industry data drops and CEO happy hours, and you've got direct access to the people actually steering the segment forward.
2. Watch entrepreneurs pitch — and help pick a winner
The Perfect Pitch is back for three rounds of high-stakes, low-drama "Shark Tank for fast casual." Emerging concepts pitch their businesses to a panel of advisers and the audience, competing for a $3,500 prize, a year of free Ovation service, and a shot at a $200,000 investment through the Fast Casual Frontrunners series. You get a front-row seat to the next wave of fast casual innovation — and an actual vote in who takes it home.
3. Get real, tactical takeaways
Between keynotes, the summit is packed with breakout sessions built for operators who need answers, not just inspiration. Think sessions on cutting through "Frankenstein" tech stacks, building retention-first labor strategies, proving loyalty programs actually drive incremental visits and competing for the squeezed middle-income diner. Each one is led by operators and marketers who've already run the experiment — so you leave with a playbook, not just notes.
This isn't a summit where you sit in a ballroom and go home. Kick things off with a guided food tour through Arlington's best fast casual spots, mingle at the welcome reception, an after party co-hosted by the Texas Restaurant Association and unwind at a private dinner party complete with virtual golf, boutique bowling and arcade games. The relationships you build over tacos and cocktails are often worth as much as anything said on stage.
