3 female entrepreneurs offer tips on starting a food truck

Three young female food truck owners describe how they got into the business and offer tips for other newcomers, according to an Eater report. The three trucks are So Good Pupusas in Durham, North Carolina, Mac Mart in Philadelphia and Foxy Falafel in Minneapolis.

The three entrepreneurs — Cecilia Polanco, Marti Lieberman and Erica Straight — followed different career paths but all chose starting a food truck as a way to get started in the foodservice business. They did not have extensive food industry experience when they launched their trucks, but all have found owning a food truck rewarding despite the challenges.
