A cousins culinary journey leads to food truck business

Cousins Tee and Peda Lee have two big joys in common: family and food. And that shared love of family cooking and all things culinary led to the duo launching a food truck in Hickory, North Carolina.

Their truck, called Munchies Paradise, was initially slated to open in 2019, but the coronavirus put the plans on hold for a bit. Near the end of 2020, the truck hit the road, visiting various locations each week and serving at private events, according to a Hickory Record report.

"We get a lot of support from the community and friends and family," Peda told the news outlet. "We never could have gotten anywhere without their support."

The truck serves up snacks reflecting southeast Asian meals, all homemade, the cousins enjoyed from childhood.
