Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. to debut food truck at National Restaurant Show

May 11, 2017

Ajinomoto Windsor, Inc. has announced it is hitting the road in its new food truck to deliver a unique way for operators to experience its line of ethnic cuisine.

The truck will debut at a private event at the National Restaurant Show and will be used throughout the year at foodservice events targeting business and industry, colleges and universities and regional chains. The show will be May 20-23 at Chicago's McCormick Place.

Brad Kumin, vice president of foodservice marketing, an Ajinomoto Windsor brand, says it's the perfect way for the brand to reach its customers.

"What better way to showcase how these products can fit into your menu easily and effectively than to bring the products to them, cooked and served the way they were intended to be?" he asked in the press release.

The truck is equipped as any commercial kitchen would be, including a flat-top grill, oven, stove top, fryer, freezer and refrigerator, assuring that the products can be prepared using best practices.

"Ultimately our goal was to mimic a standardized fast-casual restaurant or other foodservice back of house," said Kumin. "We want to make sure we are providing a solution for these operators to enhance their menus. And by preparing these items on the spot in a food truck, it's highlighting the ease of use, versatility and why these items are important to a menu."
