The Aww Shucks Fire-Roasted Corn food truck is gaining big traction in the communities around Birmingham, Alabama as fans can often be seen lining up before the truck opens at 11 a.m. when it starts serving up its fare.
Its owner, Phillip Powell, attributes the growth to his corn roasting method — a propane roaster that gives the corn its flavor, according to a report at AL.com Alabama.
"This right here is the magic part of the whole operation," Powell told the news outlet. "It's like a man and a barbecue pit. The barbecue pit does all of the flavoring for the meat. This does all of the flavoring for my corn. It's all in the roasting process."
