Alabama town enacts food truck rules

September 21, 2017

The Auburn, Alabama city council has approved its first food truck ordinance to allow food trucks to operate throughout the city. The ordinance takes effect immediately, according to oanow.com.

The trucks cannot operate within 200 feet of a restaurant's main entrance during the establishment's operating hours unless they get written permission from the restaurant's owner.

Food trucks and pushcarts must comply with all local, state and federal regulations, including permits from the Auburn public safety department and Lee County health department.
