The Florence, Alabama city council amended the city code to allow food trucks in most areas zoned for business, according to the Times Daily.
Billy Musgrove, city attorney, told the council trucks must be at least 120 feet from an existing restaurant, and must have a state health department license and a city business license.
Truck owners must submit locations where they want to sell food and must receive approval from the police department that the truck will not obstruct traffic.
