Alamogordo, New Mexico to host Battle of the Food Trucks

Alamogordo, New Mexico will host round two of The Battle of the Food Trucks on Oct. 7 with more than 20 food trucks competing for six awards. The free event will be held from noon to 5 p.m., with the winners announced at the end of the event, according to a report by Alamogordo Daily News.

The food trucks will compete for People's Choice and Judges Choice for best food, beverage and dessert. Rick and Tash De Santiago, owners of last year's winner, Sal, Limon y Chile, will be competing this year as well.

"The pressure is on for sure because we would like to have back-to-back years with some awards, and we feel like if we were Alamogordo's favorite food truck last year, hopefully we can be Alamogordo's favorite this year," Rick De Santiago said in the report.
