Arizona lawmakers have passed H.B. 2371, reducing local food truck regulations that food truck operators claim hamper business, according to azcentral.com.
Bill sponsor Rep. Kevin Payne, R-Peoria, a food truck owner, said that a patchwork of city and county laws make it difficult for trucks to stay in business.
The bill would significantly reduce city and county ordinances that limit hours when food trucks can operate and how close they can park to restaurants and other buildings.
The League of Arizona Cities and Towns opposed the bill until Payne agreed to amendments.
