The Army has rolled out The Culinary Outpost, the first government-funded food truck for Fort Bragg and the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, to bring better choices to soldiers who don't have easy access to military dining facilities, according to a report in The Fayetteville Observer.
The truck, operated by the 25th Quartermaster Company, 246th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, is part of the Army's food modernization initiative.
The truck has been designed to support around 200 soldiers and Defense Department civilians. The food is free to meal-card holders.
Three to four soldiers staff the truck.
