NOLA Creations of Atlanta won first place, pocketing $50,000, in the 10th season of "The Great Food Truck Race," according to an Atlanta Journal Constitution report. The trio, consisting of Darrell and Anna Johnson and Terrell Gaskin, served New Orleans cuisine, consisting of jambalaya, shrimp po boys, crawfish étouffée and beignets.
The final challenge of the competition last week was turning key lime pie ingredients into a non-pie dessert.
The trio hopes to use the money to invest in a food truck and will eventually create a line of spices and open a restaurant. Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race" is hosted by celebrity chef Tyler Florence.
