Augusta, Maine to host its first Food Truck Friday

The Calumet Club in Augusta, Maine will host its first-ever Food Truck Friday on September 8 in the club's parking lot, featuring at least 10 vendors, according to the Kennebec Journal.

Lisa Newell, the club's first vice president, said she initially hoped to have 150 to 200 people at Friday's free, but ticketed, event, so she ordered 300 tickets. Those tickets were gone within a few days, so she ordered several more rolls; the club has so far given out more than 1,000 tickets.

The club has at least 25 volunteers to help prepare the parking lot and clean up after the event.
