Aurora, Illinois holds second annual food truck festival

May 8, 2017

Thousands flocked to Benton Street for the second annual Food Truck Festival, a First Friday event held by Downtown Aurora and the city of Aurora, Illinois, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Visitors explored art openings and musical performances and filled their tummies with everything from the sweet to the savory, courtesy of 18 mobile kitchens that lined Benton from River Street to Broadway Avenue.

"The food truck festival started out small last year," Aurora Downtown events coordinator Marissa Amoni said. "We saw that it was popular so we moved the location to Benton Street on both the west and east bridges. It's a fun way to enjoy downtown Aurora."

Two trolleys transported passengers to some 22 different venues and volunteers guided visitors to the different destinations.
