Austin’s 5 top food trucks demonstrate culinary diversity, excellence

Nothing less than five-star Yelp reviews makes it in Austin's celebrated food truck scene. The five top-rated food trucks in that city that's known for its dynamic food scene and progressive culture, all boast perfect Yelp scores, according to an msn.com report. And the diversity of the food offered — including Peruvian, Jewish, Mexican and Indo-Mexican fare — speaks to the city's cultural diversity.

Hoodline automatically creates its food truck rankings using Yelp reviews and local business data, along with its own "secret sauce."

T-Loc's Sonora Hot Dogs at 5000 Burnet Rd. in Rosedale, offering hot dogs, tacos and more, grabbed first honors with five stars out of 378 Yelp reviews.

Manolis Ice Cream, Pastries & Cakes at 603 W. Live Oak St. in Bouldin Creek, offering desserts, ice cream, frozen yogurt and more, was runner-up with five stars out of 295 Yelp reviews.

Jewboy Burgers, offering diner-style burgers, homemade latkes and more, at 5000 Burnet Rd. in Rosedale, came in third with five stars out of 297 Yelp reviews. 

Creviche7, featuring Peruvian fare, at 502 W. 30th St. in North University, took fourth place with five stars out of 254 Yelp reviews.

Kurry Takos at 2730 E. Cesar Chavez St., serving Indo-Mexican food, came in fifth place with five stars out of 223 Yelp reviews.
