Banyan Tree food truck sprouts up in Maine

One of the latest food trucks in Maine is the Banyan Tree in Damariscotta.

The food truck is owned and operated by local resident San Rudra and family members and serves up Indian cuisine, according to a report at The Lincoln County News.

The truck is a homage to Rudra's father who passed two years ago.

It will be open every Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. and its initial debut was so successful the food truck sold out within two hours.

"We were literally scraping the bottom of every stock pot … rice, naan, everything was sold out," Rudra told the news outlet. "It was a success storm."
