Barbecue food truck will make Memphis its home

The Bain BBQ, a food truck offering Texas-style fare, will open in Memphis, Tennessee this March in the Midtown area.

Owner Bryant Bain chose his menu based on where he grew up, in Texas, according to a Memphis Flyer report, but said there will be a Memphis flair as well.

"Compared to Memphis barbecue, which is your dry-rub pork-centric, Texas barbecue, especially mine, is beef-based. So, the brisket is king when it comes to my barbecue," the 30-year-old told the news outlet.

Bain's love for barbecue goes back to his childhood and competing in BBQ competitions. He uses a pure wood-burning cooker, which he calls the secret to flavor.

The food truck is a family affair with his wife and her sister helping, according to the report.
