Belgian city develops fresh food machine to minimize COVID-19 risk

April 29, 2020

The Belgian city of Leuven has developed a mobile food vending machine to allow customers to purchase products from local farmers safely right from the farmer for the duration of the COVID-19 outbreak, according to a report in themayor.au.

The machine operates according to hygiene standards to provide minimal risk of contracting COVID-19. The doors open automatically to allow the customer to touch the product only once. Contactless payments are accepted.
