Bellevue, Washington is extending its food truck program through October. This program will offer a rotating schedule of 11 trucks at City Hall Plaza on Tuesdays and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a city press release.
This service is part of Bellevue's larger Grand Connection program, that aims to provide more inviting spaces in the downtown area, as well as improve accessibility.
The plaza features tables, law games and chairs for an inviting environment to eat a meal, according to the release.
"Having tables and chairs in the plaza makes the space more welcoming, so customers can relax and enjoy their meals." Rosario Alessio, owner of L'Italiano, a food truck, said in the release. "Food trucks don't just serve food. They help create a sense of community by bringing people out of the buildings and into public spaces."
