Best friends go sweet with food truck partnership

Anne DiGrazia and Matha Jauregui have at least two things in common: their longtime friendship that dates back to childhood and a love for sweet dessert.

The duo are launching a food truck in Turlock, California called Conchita Truck that will sell ice cream sandwiches featuring a Mexican bread called conchas and pan dulce, according to a Turlock Journal report.

The Turlock natives love the classic dessert they enjoyed while growing up.

"I think both of us have always had an affinity for it. It's just nostalgic for us," DiGrazia told the news outlet. "We enjoy it with coffee in the morning and it reminds us of our childhood."

The Conchitas Truck also will provide catering services and the partners hope to establish a scholarship fund for local students.

"Our goal is to empower people from our community, the community we grew up in," DiGrazia told the news outlet. "We've poured so much time into this over the last year and a half. There was something good that came out of COVID, and that was Conchitas Truck for us."
