Boston food truck program kicks off

More than a few popular Boston food trucks will be participating in the Boston Food Truck program this summer, an initiative lead by Mayor Martin Walsh to help food trucks during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The trucks will be parked in three Charlestown locations: Doherty Park, Charlestown Community Center and Monument Square, according to a Charlestown Patriot-Bridge report.

Walsh said the summer food truck pilot is aimed at helping local small businesses and providing residents safe food options given stay-at-home orders due to the coronavirus.
