Boston has announced a Late Night Food Truck Program throughout the area. Mayor Michelle Wu's office said this will serve areas around universities, hospitals and major nightlife areas, according to a report by CBS News.

Food trucks will have access to one of seven sites in Boston via lottery and the program will run during the summer months. The Office of Nighttime Economy will manage the operation.

"My very first efforts in city government working under Mayor Menino focused on improving the restaurant permitting process and launching food trucks in Boston," Wu told the news outlet. "Fifteen years later, I'm excited to continue creating opportunities for our food businesses and to make our city vibrant, welcoming, and fun."
