The third annual Boulevard Brewing Company Food Truck Throw Down will take place right after the Downtown Farmers' Market on Saturday from noon until 8 p.m. at the Des Moines Social Club and along Cherry Street between 7th and 9th Streets, according to The Des Moines Register.
Presented by the Des Moines Social Club and Iowa Beverage Systems, at least 5,000 people are expected to attend the event, munching on a wide variety of food from more than 15 food trucks. Admission is $5 and children under 10 years old and under get in for free. Debit cards are accepted for admission and by most food trucks.
There will be art competitions and food eating contests, along with a food judging contest by a panel of celebrity judges that will determine the best overall food truck.
Here are the food trucks that will be in attendance: Miss Molly's Jamaican Patty, Gastro Grub, Curbin' Cuisine, Karam's Grill, Top Bun, The Big Red Food Truck, Banh ME, Ritas of West Des Moines, 515 Pi, Roadside Tacos, Street Eats DSM, Taco King, SFC The Yellow Wagon, Parlo Pizza and The Outside Scoop.
