Bridgeton, New Jersey to have food truck park beginning Memorial Day

The city of Bridgeton, New Jersey will begin a one-year partnership with Sunrise Catering to make a "mobile food vending park" within Bridgeton City Park beginning Memorial Day weekend, according to nj.com. Local officials will also try to get other food trucks to join them.

"City Park is a great setting, not only for those spending an afternoon outdoors on the weekend, but for anyone looking for a good bite to eat on lunch breaks where they want to relax and recharge," Bridgeton Mayor Albert Kelly told nj.com. "I like it as an alternative because it offers something different than standard brick and mortar eateries."

The mobile food park will operate throughout the year. Initially, the park will house just the Sunshine Caterers truck Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The truck will be located at Sunset Lake and will feature Caribbean food. The goal is to have other trucks join the park by July 29.
