Buffalo Rock driver/food truck lover launches a truck of his own

Charles Pilot loves food trucks and often patronized them while working as a driver for the Buffalo Rock Co., a Birmingham, Alabama-based Pepsi and Dr Pepper bottler serving Alabama, Georgia, and Florida with an extensive vending and mico market operation.

So in the summer of 2021 Pilot launched the Fat Charles BBQ food truck offering southern and Mexican influenced fare, according to an AL.com report.

"I used to always stop by the taco trucks," he told the news outlet. "I enjoy me a good taco."

Pilot and his brother, Chris, are serving up their menu in the Birmingham metro area and also at college football venues. The menu includes everything from tacos to pizza and BBQ.

"Yeah, we're blessed, man," Pilot told the news outlet. "It's wild to see how far we've come in such a short time."
