Antioch, California has begun hosting Food Truck Thursdays in the parking lot of the Community Center and Prewett Water Park on Lone Tree Way, according to the East Bay Times.
Held from 5 to 9 p.m. through the fall on Thursdays, the event also features wine, beer and dessert. In addition, there will be giant Jenga games, along with music from the center's PA system.
Lizeht Zepeda, economic program manager for the city manager's office, said it is the first such event.
About seven varieties of food trucks kicked off the summer event, with more to come. The first week featured Lucky 13 Beer Truck, Sandwico Del Mundo, Gyro Stop, Cosa Nostra, Yummi BBQ, Canasta Kitchen and Sip & Scoop.
