California city to allow food trucks in parking area

March 11, 2019

Food trucks will be allowed to park in an area known as Spirits Alley at 2400 Monarch St. in Alameda, California, that serves as the parking lot for Wonky Kitchen, a snack manufacturer and kitchen services provider, according to the East Bay Times. The area already serves as home to wineries, distilleries and craft breweries. Wonky Kitchen requested the special use permit that will allow as many as three food trucks at a time.

The food trucks will serve breakfast and lunch for employees of nearby businesses, according to David Sablan, a project planner with the city.
