Cape Coral food truck park holds groundbreaking event

The ground has been broken for what will be the first food truck park in Cape Coral, Florida.

The $20 million park, on 3.2 acres, will be at the foot of the Cape Coral bridge, according to a WGCU report.

Named the Slipaway Food Truck Park and Marina, it is being developed by several partners and will feature an open-bar pavilion for seating just over 150 customers and room for 10 food trucks. Expansion plans call for six more pavilions to accommodate 150 more diners.

It's already begun receiving applications.
