Cedar Rapids, Iowa to have 2 food truck events this summer

Food trucks will gather at Greene Square in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa from July 7 to Sept 29, according to The Gazette. The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance announced the plan.

Food trucks will park next to Greene Square from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Friday. Trucks are required to have a city food truck license. They will be limited to Third Avenue SE due to possible construction on Fourth Avenue. The event will be canceled in the event of rain.

Food trucks also will park in front of NewBo City Market on Wednesdays, beginning July 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The two events are managed by a partnership between the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance and NewBo City Market.
