Charleston, West Virginia launches Food Truck Wednesdays event

Starting Sept. 9 hungry diners and food truck fans will have a new dining option in Charleston, West Virginia.

City leaders are supporting a Food Truck Wednesday event at Slack Plaza, running from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with trucks offering lunch and dinner fare, according to a WCHS News 8 report.

"As we continue to explore unique outdoor dining experiences, we want to include the city's thriving food truck scene," Mayor Amy Goodwin told the news outlet. "Food Truck Wednesdays will bring trucks from around the region specializing in an array of cuisines."
