Chattanooga food trucks garner nearly 4,000 signatures to change food truck rules

August 24, 2017

Close to 4,000 people have signed a petition to change Chattanooga, Tennessee's food truck laws, according to Nooga.com.

Two food trucks, California Smothered Burritos and Spill the Beans, started the petition after they were forced to move from where they were selling food outside of Unum downtown.

By Wednesday afternoon, the petition had 3,783 signatures.

The petitioners are hoping to get 5,000 signatures, then ask City Council to allow food trucks to sell from streets instead of just on private property.
