Lawmakers in Chattanooga, Tennessee, are considering updates to the city's food truck ordinance, according to WDEF-TV. City council members discussed the issue Tuesday, but have not decided on any changes at the present time.
On Tuesday, city council members talked about the possibility of allowing food trucks on city streets in specific areas.
Lisa Dunny, who owns Spill the Beans, a coffee truck, collected almost 5,000 signatures for an online petition last year hoping that the city would change a ban on food trucks on city streets.
Council member Chip Henderson said he is concerned about protecting brick-and-mortar restaurants from competition.
