Restaurant ordering solutions provider Checkmate has expanded its partnership with Uber, adding Uber Direct to its platform, according to a press release.

Checkmate already integrates with Uber Eats, allowing restaurants to receive orders directly into their point-of-sale systems. Now, through Uber Direct, restaurants can offer on-demand delivery for their own websites and apps, eliminating the need for in-house delivery staff.

"We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Checkmate to help restaurants meet customer demands and further grow their businesses," Bernie Huddlestun, general manager of Uber Direct for the U.S. and Canada, said in the press release. "By enabling Uber Direct, we're able to help these restaurants grow by building customer trust, meeting new and existing customers' expectations when it comes to choice around delivery."

The expanded partnership leverages Uber's extensive delivery network to fulfill orders placed through restaurants' own channels. Customers will have more delivery options, potentially leading to increased satisfaction and repeat business.

"Pairing our services with a company as impactful as Uber continues to improve the delivery space," Vishal Agarwal, Checkmate CEO and founder, said in the press release. "Now, customers will be able to enjoy a seamless, branded experience which will translate to higher customer satisfaction and increased restaurant sales."

This collaboration strengthens Checkmate's position as a leader in restaurant technology. The company offers a unified platform for managing all digital channels, ensuring a consistent ordering experience for customers. Checkmate plans to continue expanding its solutions to meet the evolving needs of restaurants in the digital age.
