Chef brings Michelin touch to Texas food truck

A South Austin, Texas food truck is boasting what few other food trucks can boast — the touch of a chef with Michelin-star experience.

Chef Joshua van den Berg is running the kitchen at Songbird, a food truck operating from Meanwhile Brewing Co. Van den Berg has extensive culinary experience including a stint at a Michelin-starred restaurant, according to a Culture Map Austin report.

The food truck is part of Meanwhile's food truck fleet which includes an ice cream truck, a taco truck and a BBQ truck. The chef is also a winner of a 2016 Food Network Chopped episode.

"Songbird is such an exciting concept because it's approachable and casual, which is perfect for the families and young couples who frequent Meanwhile Brewing," chef van den Berg said in a press release, "but we're providing menu items at a higher level of execution and attention to detail that may not typically be applied to this echelon of food."
