Chicago-area tavern invites food trucks to serve patrons

September 11, 2017

Tavern 57, the former Wrightwood Tap in the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago, is making good on a pledge to bring food trucks, according to dnainfo.com.

Richard Honquest, co-owner, installed a 220-volt line to the back parking lot before reopening this summer. Since the tavern doesn't have a formal kitchen, he wanted to welcome food trucks to serve bar patrons.

Honquest said he's set up a rotating schedule of food trucks pulling in on Sundays.

Trucks include Ofrenda, Carnivale, Cevapcici Catering, Chicago Pizza Boss, Hot Dog Fiend and Roaming Dog.
