Lawmakers in East Dundee, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, are considering allowing food trucks in response to a brew pub's request to allow food trucks on a municipal parking lot near its premises, according to an Elgin Courier News report.
The board of trustees has asked the village staff to draft an ordinance to determine when and where food trucks can operate. Jennifer Johnsen, village administrator, said the partnership between brew pubs and food trucks is a trend that the village is currently missing out on.
