Chicago suburb plans food truck festival

The Elgin Food Truck Fest will be held 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Oct. 4, at Festival Park, 123 South Grove Ave. in Elgin, Illinois. The event will feature more than 25 Chicago area food trucks, a beer garden, live entertainment, local businesses and a playground, according to Brew Avenue Events, the event organizer.

"Early eater" tickets purchased by Oct. 3 are $10 and regular admission is $15 the day of the event.

Food trucks will include: Salubrious Stop; Cheesie's Truck; Grumpy Gaucho; Salvekis; Habanero Taquito Power; Wok N Roll by Bamboo; Sausage Fest; The Happy Lobster; Cream Crunch N More; Perk N' Pickle; Bricks on Wheels; Pierogi Squad; Stix & Noodles; Cookout on Wheels; Coastline Catering Truck; Umbrella Azul; The Cajun Connoisseur; Big Wang's Food Truck; Da Portable Rican; Ding Ding Chicken Wing; Phlavz; The Olive Branch; BBQ'd Productions; and Just Cheddar.
