Chicago Tribune calls on state court to overturn food truck rules

January 28, 2019

The Chicago Tribune has urged the Illinois Supreme Court to overturn the city’s food truck regulations, claiming in an editorial that the rules have left the city’s food truck industry behind other smaller cities such as St. Louis, Raleigh, North Carolina and Indianapolis.

The state's high court last Wednesday heard oral arguments in a case challenging the law. The case dates back to 2012, when the current regulations were implemented.
