Food truck operators aiming to do business at special events in Island Lake, Chicago, will now have to attain a $50 permit.
Operators will also have to show proof of department of health approval, and if planning to play amplified music operators need to get approval in advance, according to a Northwest Herald report.
The permit and rule regarding music was decided by the local board last week. The new ordinance also establishes a permit requirement for ice cream truck vendors.
