The Rainier City Council, in Washington, is drafting food truck regulations and hoping to have an initial version ready for review come Feb. 1.
The council has a committee focused on the ordinance effort, according to a report at The Daily News.
Last spring the council denied a temporary permit request from a food truck operator. The proposed rule before the council would allow legal operation of mobile food vending and require truck operators to obtain a one-year vending license for each vehicle as well as a health inspection. The proposed license fee would be $200.
