Cleveland suburban school to host food truck event to honor safety officers

Fernway Elementary School in Cleveland's Shaker Heights neighborhood, will host Food Truck Friday on Aug. 3, when East Coast Custard and Fire Truck Pizza Co. park in front of the school from 5-8 p.m., according to the Shaker Heights Patch. The event is sponsored by the Parent Teacher Organization.

Residents will have a chance to thank members of the fire and police departments for their actions during and after a fire at the school. Officials will present the departments gratitude books and "thank you" bags. The fire department will also receive posters and notes that people wrote to them following the fire.
