Coffee roaster, vegan food truck join forces

The Vegan Nom food truck and a coffee roaster, Barrett's, in Austin, Texas, are joining up to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant, according to an Austin Eater report.

The restaurant, which will also be called Vegan Nom, will be in the Phara's building at 111 North Loop Boulevard, and is expected to open its doors by year's end.

"Coming from a food trailer background, it's exciting to work in a much larger space and have new toys to use in my culinary ambitions," Vegan Nom owner Chris Rios told the news outlet.

Barrett's began as a retail and wholesale coffee roaster and ran a cafe in Highland.
