The village of Cold Spring, New York has put a hiatus on food trucks. The village board has passed a six month moratorium to allow food trucks to operate within the village's borders, according to a report by Mid Hudson News.
Mayor Kathleen Foley said during the board meeting that the village's "zoning code does not directly address food trucks and after the village received a request for a food truck to operate in a residential zone five days a week, eight hours a day, we felt the time had come to study the situation."
Some board members also expressed concerns over noise and competition with local businesses from food trucks.
