College of DuPage food truck event scheduled for Oct. 13

Food trucks are invited to register for the College of DuPage 2018 Food Truck Rally and Sunset 5K, scheduled for 2–8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, on the College's Glen Ellyn, Illinois campus, according to the Chicago Tribune. This year's event will feature a VIP hour 1–2 p.m. The event is presented by DuPage Medical Group. Proceeds will benefit college scholarships.

The Sunset 5K begins at 4:30 p.m. at the track. Registration is $25 for the Sunset 5K, or $15 for entrants age 5-12 and 60 and over. Registration is $10 for the 100-yard youth dash for children age 4–9, which begins at 3:30 p.m. The winner of each of the three age groups will receive a $25 Visa gift card.

Registration is not required for food truck rally participants. In addition to more than 15 food trucks, the event will feature a Touch-A-Truck and a Kid Zone.
