The Colorado legislature introduced a bill that would simplify the licensing process for food trucks. Currently, food truck owners have to have many different licenses to operate in different counties or jurisdictions in the Denver metro area, according to a report by 9 news.

This bill would create a reciprocal licensing system so that one license would be honored in other areas.

"We understand that every municipality wants to have their own rules and regulations, and that's fine, but if we can honor the regulation that this same business has already complied at another municipality, that would be fantastic," Maria González, founder and CEO of Adelante Community Development, said in the report.

The goal of this bill is to reduce costs for food trucks and encourage growth.
