Commission approves food truck ordinance for Winter Haven, Florida

The City Commission in Winter Haven, Florida, has heard and approved a revised amendment to the city ordinance governing food truck operators.

According to a report by The Ledger, the amendment increases the number of areas where the trucks are allowed from four to seven.

Additionally, the new rules eliminate "burdensome" insurance requirements, expand operating hours and permit food trucks to operate at city events, the report said.
