A Ridgefield, Connecticut brewery is petitioning to change a rule prohibiting food trucks from parking on its property, according to The Ridgefield Press.
An ordinance prohibits food trucks and vendor carts from parking in a given space for more than 15 minutes. The rule was established in part to protect the interests of restaurants and other businesses. The ordinance allows exceptions for the established locations of the Chez Lenard hot dog cart on Main Street and the Zwack Shack lunch truck on Route 7.
The petition claims the brewery's location and business model do not fall under the requirements of the ban.
