The Café 1840, a restaurant in New Milford, Connecticut, has shuttered its doors but its owners aim to relaunch it as a food truck.

The café, on Bank Street, closed due to poor business, according to a Trumbull Times report.

Stacy Lynn Murphy, a native resident, launched the café last spring.

"Energy prices are going up and food prices are going up," she told the news outlet."People are doing the majority of their shopping online and the dining is definitely reduced."

Starting a food truck "makes more sense" given food truck popularity, she told the Times. She's aiming to have it on the road by spring.
