The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has cancelled thousands of events across the U.S. but it didn't cancel the Morris Township Family Food Truck Festival in Morristown, New Jersey this month.
Yet, the coronavirus clearly impacted the festivities as just about 600 foodies attended, way less than 2,000 attendees last year, noted a Tap Into report.
The event, held at Ginty Field, was organized by Mega Bite Events, LLC.
"We are very thankful to the township for allowing us to hold the event, and also thankful to the attendees for following the social distancing and mask rules," Heather McDermott, co-owner of Mega Bite Events, told the news outlet. "It was nice to hear so many of the attendees saying how much they enjoyed it and we are glad we were able to provide a fun and safe event."
