Corvette engine powering speedy food truck

There are many unique food truck builds but one featuring the innards of a C8 Corvette may be on track to be deemed the speediest food truck in the record books.

The food truck reportedly is being built using an International Metro van frame boasting a kitchen and a bar as well as a C8 Corvette engine, according to an Instagram post in late June.

A GM Authority blog reported it's being built by auto designer Oscar Vargas and features a "wild" patina design with "boxy fender flares."

The food truck, called Luc's Fajita Hut, is in New Jersey and builders aim to win a Guinness World Record for speed, according to the blog.
