COVID-19 making food truck business a challenge in SC

March 24, 2020

The ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is putting a huge strain on food truck operators as food truck festivals are being cancelled and lawmakers are strenuously working to eliminate any gatherings in public.

The news comes as the big season or food truck operators kicks off — spring and summer are typically busiest season for mobile foodservice providers, according to a MyHorry News report.

Many food trucks are striving to stay up and running, finding spots in local communities and getting the word out via social media.

The industry may find some business opportunities in states, such as South Carolina, where restaurants and bars are only allowed to provide food takeout service.
